We want to make sure all laws related to transporting live plants are followed so that everyone gets home safely. When transporting live plants, please be advised on the Michigan law HB 4856 that went into affect April 1, 2013:
HB 4856 — Caregivers will need to keep marijuana in a container in the trunk whenever transporting marijuana by vehicle. If the vehicle has no trunk, it must be inaccessible to the passengers. The exact operative language is that marijuana must be:
- (a) Enclosed in a case that is carried in the trunk of the vehicle; or
- (b) Enclosed in a case that is not readily accessible from the interior of the vehicle, if the vehicle in which the person is traveling does not have a trunk.
